Repainted Chalk Board

As if I'm not working on multiple projects at a time, I decided to repaint this
And if you don't know what i'm talking about, I mean this...
This was the fist chalk board I had ever made. I thought white would be a basic good colour against the black chalk board paint. And it would, if you didn't have very white/light walls! It bothered me so much that I took it apart and painted it again! I'm crazy, I know!!

I don't really have a colour theme for my kitchen. Because we WILL renovate, everything is pretty bland. So I opted for a green to paint the frame. This was the result of the first, yes, first colour of green I choose.
To be honest, this picture makes the green look a lot better than what it actually was! Anyway, it just wasn't doing it for me. So, there I went to paint if for the third time to a brighter shade of green!

So here it is...
My pictures almost make the chalk board frame look neon, but I promise you, they are not!! I actually prefer the brighter green over the bland green before. Those are my thoughts... What are yours?

Stay tuned, I'll be posting another chalk board paint project tomorrow!

  1. I am obsessed with that chalkboard paint. There are so many great things to use it for.

  2. Love it! I actually bought a mirror at a garage sale with a frame about your color green(the bright green)! I ended up making it into a chalkboard and distressing the frame a little! Got to love chalkboard paint! :)
