5 minute project - for $0.00 !

So I whipped this little baby up on Sunday morning and it seriously took me 5 minutes and cost me zero, yes zero dollars to make, because I had everything on hand. I love projects like these!

So I found these items and thought... hmmm what can I do with this?

I would love to show you all the steps in pictures that it took to make this project, but my camera batteries died in the middle of it all.  If you can't make out the picture, it is a frame, burlap and the backing of the frame. Hmmm what to do, what to do...

So I found some foam stamps I had bought a while back at Michaels. I really wanted to stamp something on burlap. I love the texture. Anyway, I didn't know if I was going to use paint, ink, etc. So I decided on using Chocolate Chip Stampin' Up Ink pad and stamped my burlap. Great. it worked!  I'd have to say those the colour was a little faded. If I had batteries for the camera, I would have taken a picture. Well, then I decided to touch up the stamped picture with a blender pen from Stampin' Up. I don't know if this was the best thing for my pen, but it did make the brown ink pop more!  I didn't even glue or adhere the burlap to the back of the frame. I just stuck it in there!

Here is the final result....

Not too bad... Next time I think I would use would black ink instead. What do you think of the frame? Is it too boring? Should I paint it another colour? I don't know what colour I would paint it though?

Anyway, it took 5 minutes and it didn't cost a thing, so I'm pretty happy with the result!
