So lately i've been seeing lots of embroidery hoop crafts happening out there in blogland. So I thought I'd try my hand at it too. Let me tell you this is the easiest project ever. I used up all my scrap fabric and purchased some old hoops at a second hand store. Basically the project cost me about $5.00, everything I had on hand! Love when that happens!!
So this is how my little hoop project turned out...
Don't mind any of the spiderwebs you might find...
This is a funny little wall in my spare bedroom. I actually had a dresser on that wall but decided to rearrange all the furniture in the room after I put the hoops up... So now I might switch it up to the other side of the room. We'll see how ambitious I am. But for now, i'm just loving it! Every time I walk into the room they make me smile.
I love this! I have about 8 on part of the wall in our hallway. I'm kicking myself for not buying more when I saw them at a thriftstore the other day! Hopefully they'll still be there when I go back again!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. Thats a great way to use beautiful scraps and to show off lots of color.
ReplyDeleteI am hooked on pinterest too! I have been wanting to make these fabric hoops for awhile now so I can save a few bits and pieces of some of my favorite fabrics, only I can't figure out where I would hang them. Yours look great!
ReplyDeleteFollowing you from Hookin up with HOH!
