With some love and support from my blogger friends I've decided NOT to give up my blog! YEAH! I realized that I can't do it all, I can't have a new project to post everyday, or a fun blog post or even a give-away... But I can post when I feel like it. This is supposed to be fun, not a chore. I've decided that I will post weekly, or more but I'm not committing to too much. Because I just can't spread myself that thin. Did I also mention that I am taking a distance course this fall? Yes, I will be busy.
So instead of writing you all about how I've been spending my time, why don't I show you a few pictures of what I've been up to!
July long weekend my partner and I went up to northern saskatchewan to a friends cottage. We had a great time with our friends. Lots of food and LOTS of Drinks!!
Shane loves to fish. That guy is a habitual outdoors men. He is the person you wouldn't mind being lost in the woods with because he knows survival skills!
As you can see, he is very happy doing what he loves to do...
The boys putting the dock in the water. I have to say the water was very cold that weekend.Hanging out, watching the boats go by.
A little boat ride!
He is a brave man. That water was COLD!
Now, for the Ontario trip...
We went to my cottage on Pelee Island, the place I love the most on Earth. I had such an amazing time with family and friends. I wish we could have stayed longer!
A very delicious drink - a Caesar aka bloody mary for the yanks! Although this little taste of heaven is made with Clamato juice.
And of course, we went fishing. How could we not! It's the great lakes! I'm not sure what this fish is, but he was happy to catch it.
On the ferry, going to the Island. You have to take a boat to get there. There only way of getting there is by boat!
This is our family cottage. We love it.
Our beach, it's so amazing to be on the water. I miss it so much now that I live in the prairies.
My sister and our little doggie daisy being beach bums!
At the local bar, The Westview Tavern doing a "shot - ski" where you all drink out of a shot that is on a ski - too much fun!!!
P.S. Don't you love my friends shirt? "The ERIE Shore" - How funny is that?
There was an oyster night at the tavern. Our friends from Sarasota Fl. have an oyster bar there and they hosted the evening shucking oysters. These are their T-Shirts from their bar - too funny!
At the Pelee Island Winery, enjoying many many glasses of wine!
Keeping it classy at the winery!! I was only joking around, I swear!
Those are just SOME of the highlights... I hope you enjoyed the pictures.
Best, Katie
What a lovely cottage1
