A Summer Hiatus...

Not sure if anyone out there is still following this blog? If you are, I'm a bad host. I took an unannounced summer hiatus from writing/posting/crafting. I'm not sure what to do with this blog... I have hardly done any crafts this summer! After starting a new job in June, I was feeling totally burnt out and just didn't have the energy to keep posting/crafting. In addition, I did have a couple trips lined up this summer that didn't allow me the time to dedicate. I know my family especially enjoyed keeping up with me through this blog! So with that said, i'm totally undecided - Do I stay, or do I go...?

I'm going to take a couple of days to think about it...

Cheers, Katie

  2. Hi Katie,

I've checked in with you from time to time as well. It seems that many blogs have slowed down this summer- mine included. I've only done a few posts this summer; I've just been too busy having fun.

I know what you mean about writing your blog as a way to keep up with family and friends. The thing with your blog is that it doesn't have to be all or nothing - post on your own schedule and I'll be happy to visit!!

  3. Make sure that you are writing your blog because you like to do it and it's fun for you. Don't feel obligated or guilty if you haven't posted in awhile (even though that is easier said than done).

  4. Glad to see that you are OK. I was a bit worried after you posted about the flood and then never came back. I agree with Coley...blog only if you enjoy it. I enjoy reading your posts. I've had to remind myself that blogging is a HOBBY not a job. If I miss a few days (or weeks or months) it's really OK.

Just glad to see that you are OK!

  5. I thank you all so much for your comments, and I believe you all are so right. I'm not going to let the blog go. There will be fewer posts, less projects but it's still a great way to keep in touch with so many new friends. I have to admit, this is way too much fun to pass up! Thanks for your love and support.
