Hmmm... what to call this post? The hit that was first a miss...

The other weekend I started out on a project with very good intentions. I'll walk you through the steps of my project flop.

First, I found this mirror at a second hand shop -

I had intentions of painting the frame and doing something with it. I thought about stencilling the base of the frame with my house numbers... yep, this seemed like a good idea!

So here I go... spray painted the frame apple green

Then I spray painted the middle/base white with intentions of stencilling my house numbers with black acrylic paint

Good intentions, but a sloppy stencil job! I didn't really like the stencils I used - they were hard to work with - or is that my excuse for the bad job I did? It's up to you to decide! lol

The finished project... it's ok, but it was boring. The numbers were too small and I didn't do a very good job with the stencilling so I left it alone for a while. I needed some time to think about what I would do with it...

So this weekend I decided that I would paint the base/middle part with chalkboard paint - ah ha! Great idea!
