I've been so inspired by so many mantles that I've seen in blog land. Unfortunately, I don't have a fireplace, or a mantle. Instead I like to create vignettes on top of tables, desks, etc.
So I whipped up this little seaside vignette on the weekend. And I think it's pretty darn cute!
And here it is...
This little vignette only took me about 20 minutes. I had the hurricane vases, glass candle sticks, mason jars and the silver star fish. Some of the candles, others I purchased at WalMart for $4.00. The seashells I bought at a garage sale for .75 cents and another package from goodwill (Salvation Army Thrift Store) for .25 cents. The blue tray, I got at another garage sale for .50cents and I painted it Krylon Bahama Seas spray paint (which I did in advance). With $5.00 and twenty minutes, I came up with this! Which is great because I was totally lacking the motivation to start a big project!
Aren't you all excited it's fun day Monday? I'm excited for a short and last week at my job! I'll be starting a new job the following week and i'm so excited to start! Have a great day & thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteHi Katie, Nice vignette. I love the beach and am blessed to be close to one. Don't forget the smell of the beach...maybe a Yankee Candle?? There is nothing like it! (Though I love the smell of the mountains, too.) I'm honored that you would like to feature my yard sale finds and I can't wait to see yours. Thanks so much!
